2024 DOWNTOWN WATER MAIN PROJECT
In May 2024 the City of Wahoo Utilities (aka Wahoo Utilities) began a $3.8 million water main update project primarily focused at improving water quantity to the downtown area as well as replace mains which are approximately 100 years old. This is being funded with a loan from Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE), that will offer 35% loan forgiveness when the project is complete, and is at 0% interest. Construction is estimated to be completed in late spring/early summer 2025.
